Favorite Hole-In-The-Wall/Dives/Cheap(!) Places to Eat in DC
Since I'm back in the area and on a budget, am curious to know if any of you have any fav cheap eats in DC (especially ethnic ones!). By cheap I mean less than $10, but $5 is even better. There was a Chinese take-away on M street I used to love, could get a truly authentic dish for about $6. Think it was near 20th or so.
Anyone?

It is a little green and white spot in the Maine Avenue Fish Market that is off the chain. I love their Crab ball platter.

Ben's Chili Bowl is always good. The Capital City Diner on Bladensburg NE is good too, but is not metro accessible.

Oh I love Capital City Diner!
Amsterdam Falafelshop on 18th in Adams Morgan is great. Falafels are under $10 and I think they have a $10 deal that's a small falafel, small fries and a drink.

Taqueria Distrito Federal is really good. 3463 14th St. NW
Washington, DC 20010
I'll vote for Litteri's as well. They are more of an Italian grocery as opposed to a place that you would go for a meal though.
