Atlanta or DC ???
I am trying to decide between moving to Atlanta or Washington DC. I am a single male with a few years of job experience in both sales and insurance claims. Which place has a better job market? Which place has a better dating scene for a single male?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Both are excellent places to live, and both have there lists of negatives too. However, Atlanta will offer a more affordable lifestyle than D.C., which is very expensive. The job market in both D.C. Metro, and Atlanta Metro are excellent. I would personally choose Atlanta over D.C. simply because the cost of living is cheaper there.

This is the thing about DC. Even though you live in DC you have access to professional opportunities in B-more, Charlotte, NY, Philly, and Boston. In Atlanta I would say its just Atlanta. But theirs so much more to do with Atlantic City, the beaches, ocean, nightlife, restaurants, theatre's, and just the general diversity in choices of women to talk to that I would pick DC in a heartbeat. But the above poster is right about cost of living and what you can buy and save with the dollars. Just depends on whats important to you....

So far as the job market and singles scene, I think DC and Atlanta are pretty much equals with high marks in those two areas. I think issues like climate, cost of living, proximity to family/friends, urban or suburban environment, etc. are what may settle the differences.

Job market and real estae are not great in Atlanta, lots of turn over for professionals. However, lin Atl, lots of single females, or more single females than males absolutely.

Atlanta has a very diverse and strong job market, it probably isn't as solid as DC's/NoVa's because of the large government presence/monies, but Atlanta's job market is one of the strongest, and most diverse in the United States.

Economies are great in both cities but if you like a city rich in history, culture, is dense, walkable with one of the best public transportation systems in the U.S. then D.C. all the way. Far more interesting neighborhoods like Adams-Morgan, Georgetown, U street. More attractive architecturally. A man's dream in the dating scene. Plus I like Washington's access to New York, Philly and Baltimore. Large black urban professionals in both cities but thats where the similarities end. D.C. is more expensive but well worth it.
