We are traveling to DC this weekend and fly in late on Thursday. We are staying downtown by the convention center & verizon center. Wondering where we can get dinner after 11/12? Seems like most places close. HELP!
Personally, within walking distance, I'd recommend Jaleo for tapas - open til 11:30 on Thursdays. For a quick drive what I'd really recommend for late night fare is falafel from Amsterdam Falafel in Adams Morgan. It's a little hole in the wall and is open til like 2:30am.
EDIT - it didn't save my search but you can see from the link that you can choose downtown as the neighborhood and click 'only late night'
Thanks. The only other thing I should mention is that we won't have a car.
It's just a 10 minute cab ride if you want to go to Adams Morgan for falafel. If you really want to walk, I'd stick with Jaleo or someplace in Chinatown for that Thursday night. You could also take a super quick cab ride up to U street and hit famous Ben's chili bowl for a half smoke with chili.

Ya - not all are based on my falafel expertise I've posted a lot - and often in more social fora where people show appreciation for funny, kind or thoughtful posts in addition to informative and helpful posts.
Now are you gonna suggest a late night eatery for the OP or not?
