We are a Swedish family that are about to move to the Washington D.C area to work for at least two years. We have two children (pre-school) and we are in need of information on nice areas to live in as well as how to get a Swedish-speaking nanny.

I would contact the Embassy of Sweden. They are at....

...and have experience placing and supporting foreign service staff in the city. They can certainly give you some good leads to go by.
