Default How is this B&B area?

My wife and I are looking to spend a relaxing weekend in D.C. area. We found a B&B on-line with the following uptown address:

"4907 14th St NW, Washington DC, DC 20011" called the "Intown Uptown Inn"

I don't mind staying away from the heart of downtown, but is this area nice and safe to walk around? We have a friend that lives in Friendship Heights, which we like, is it similar to that?

Thanks....

Thats off 14th st.....in the heart of the city...Wow I would flip a coin and say its okay.....I would try Tripadvisor for DC and see if anybody responds....

That area isn't bad from what I've experienced but I've never really sat around and hung out either....

North of Crestwood, south of Brightwood. It's neither the best nor the worst area around. There isn't much at all in the area in terms of things to do or places to eat, though. Don't know the place itself, but it looks very nice and the on-line reviews are good. As long as you don't mind being that far away from the usual touristy stuff, I wouldn't rule it out on account of the area. You could always go over to Rock Creek Cemetery and see if you can find my grandparents. Nah, I didn't think so...
