You seem to think anyone who doesn't dress like a thug, listen to gogo or know what mambo sauce doesn't belong in your DC. Get over it. It really is not that big of a deal where someone is from. Unless they are from like...Mars.
There you go assuming things about me again.
I am 100% native and for the most part I attended prep schools when I was growing up.
One of the most popular songs at one of my schools was not a GoGo song, it was a song by a 5 year old from France.

Does it matter where one is born? I don't think it does in my experience. It just matters where you are going and how you are getting there. I think the biggest issue between "natives" and "transplants" is that the "natives" feel like the "transplants" look down on them while the "transplants" feel like the "natives" do nothing to help the city out. I'd like to say that this is just not true. Both sides need to realize that only some "transplants" and some "natives" actually act that way. The majority from both sides are just trying to go to work and enjoy their lives. Remember it only takes a few people to ruin it for everyone else.
dude, blend in. Don't wear your F#@ bag out in the public taking pictures of the white house on a double decker.
