Sigh. I think he was referring to civil rights leaders of the past who have been shot i.e, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.

So just 2 'brothers'? That's not excatly a lot. What does he want then? Have the govt. pay the King family and Malcolm's family for their deaths? Then all will be solved right?

Where are you getting this reparations stuff? Only two people have explicitly stated that and it was you and Jokestars.
Also as for facts, you guys are only stating half of the story.

What facts did that fool bring to the discussion? What are you bringing to this discussion?
I don't know about reparations but I think we should look at adding more teeth to anti-discrimination laws at the state and federal level. Too many employers and universities are getting away with bias against persons of color. Too many advertisers are ridiculing blacks, Latinos and Asians on TV ads. Too many white cops are pulling over drivers with brown skin.
But somebody has to stick up for White Supremacy in America. Thanks for watching my back, my whitey brah. White Privilege is good for you and me!

What's your "resolution", Mr. West? I bet it involves my money.

LOL. I used to be like that as well. Used to religiously read the Final Call, listen to Farrakhan etc. Then I went to college and waited tables part time. The rest is as they say is history.

To a MUCH lesser extent my neck of the woods in south Arlington saw a drop in black population. From my understanding many of my former neighbors moved to more affordable Woodbridge. There are some parts of Prince William county that saw a 1000% increase in black population. Of course the black population in Northern Virginia is a WAY smaller than DC or Maryland, but I imagine that's what happened on the otherside of the Potomac as well. They had an article focusing on Bloomingdale last week that was pretty interesting.
In D.C.’s Bloomingdale neighborhood, population changes welcomed and resented - The Washington Post
In the article renters moving to cheaper digs east of the Anacostia river seemed to be a theme. Also people not taking too kindly to change was another theme.

I went to TC Williams in the 90s and it seems like most of my black classmates who remained in the area moved to PWC, a few to PG. The few remaining Black areas in No. Va are either gentrifying or becoming more Hispanic.

I agree with him as well. I couldn't find anything that was nonfactual.

Exactly. DC should have more white, Asian and Latino residents, along with African Americans.

Which is fine. I want that too. But you can't deny that by and large it's the DC BLACK population who resents these changes. And don't compare this to the illegal situation in PW County. The people moving into DC are American citizens, not illegal. Totally different set of circumstances....
