If it wasn't for jobs I'd get the heck out of this nasty weather place! Outside of weather I do love DC and all the things that it has to offer. Misery loves company so who else feels this way?
Yikes! I was excited to be leaving Chicago weather behind in hopes of enjoying mostly milder weather in the DC area. I figured if I could handle this, I could handle almost anything...

DC's winters are nothing compared to Chicago's (last year notwithstanding). If you can handle Chicago, you'll have no troubles whatsoever surviving winter in DC.

Today's weather was great, got a little hot when I was wearing two layers and trousers, but once I switched into my polo and chino shorts I felt cool (in more ways than one )

I'm not complaining. This weekend's cherry blossom festival might be a dud though.
They are about equal. DC is better from late November to late March. Both are decent in April. But I'll take Chicago from May through September. Much more comfortable temps. DC can get pretty unbearable in the summer.

Shhhhhhucks. You must not have lived in DC very long! This is a relatively pleasant winter and pleasant spring. Usually, the DC hot season lasts from mid-April to mid-October, with long periods of heatwaves, going weeks on end with temperatures 100 degrees every single day. Enjoy it while it's here because once that first 95 degree day with 95 percent humidity comes (likely in four to five weeks), you'll wish it was today again.

What horse hockey. "Weeks on end with 100 degree temperatures." Never happened in the last 30 years. Try 90-95 degree high temperatures and 70-80% humidity for 6-8 weeks.

All I know, I thought my tights were a bit much this morning. This evening, not at all.
