Hello everyone,

I will be visiting Washington, DC June 2-4 and would like some info on staying at a Hilton Brand Hotel within close proximity/walking distance to the "touristy" stuff in the area of the White House. (And yes it must be a Hilton Brand Hotel because the stay for me will be free)

I do plan on doing the White House Tour by reserving tickets with our congressman (Yes, I've read it is boring but I've never been so I feel it's a must for me to visit). Are any of the other tours worth reserving tickets for and interesting?

Any other suggestions about my 2 day stay are appreciated! Places to eat/visit etc.

Thanks!

I'll second the Hilton on 14th st nw. also, white house tour is not boring. here's something fun that isn't in most guidebooks, go to the rooftop restaurant of the hotel washington for a drink or a bite and you will enjoy the most spectacular view of the city in the city. it looks right on to the roof of the white house
