And I don't blame those who criticize North Arlington due to that, and I do think that it's the main weakness for the neighborhoods. Truth be told, if North Arlington had the demographics comparable to that of places like South Arlington, Prince William, or even Fairfax County, but keep the same high-socioeconomic status and even keep the "plastic" new infrastructure, North Arlington would be way more appealing.
Same socioeconomic status but different demographics? What?
I would never live in Arlington. I have a harder time parking my car out there than I do in the city. I have been towed twice in the DC area: once in Arlington and once near FedEx field. I thought one of the main benefits of living in the suburbs was that having a vehicle is less of a pain in the rear. I actually have an easier time parking in Brooklyn than I do in Arlington.
Arlington may not be the "city" but it doesn't feel suburban either. Parking is one reason.
Well parking isn't an issue for me. The only time there's been an issue with parking has been in Clarendon or Crystal City. Never had an issue in other parts of Arlington.
