DC / College park after work/night life ? (Washington: hotel, live)

Hello -

I will be staying in College Park next week Oct 3-6 on Business. Looking for fun nightlife in the area 30-40 yr old professional, upscale, fun, non-trashy crowd. Martini bar or live music is good for nights 10.4 and 10.5.

I do not want to stand around and watch the 20 something crowd text each other.

Would appreciate suggestions.

You're making me think of the bar at the Topaz Hotel off Dupont Circle, but that may be just me. A pretty good place to scout out something suitable is...
