Cargos + t-shirt = #winning, no need to get all haute couture with this kind of weather.

^That is terribly unfashionable and unhip.

*looks down at what I'm wearing*

Oh.....

Some of the styles aren't bad but who the hell is wearing a thick sweater in DC in July?! Or what about the chick with the garish lipstick and costume jewelry? Is this some kind of joke?

#10's dress goes up to her belly button, who is going to wear that?! Or how about #1's Romper-to-Heaven look? Sure, that's a smart idea if you have to sit down on Metro, or anywhere for that matter.

I would LOVE to see Washingtonian feature something a little more realistic for those among us who can't wear a hideous onesie that goes up to our crotch.
Interesting that I see a lot of those equally popular throughout Japan. Especially those #2 lace shorts, they seem to be everywhere here.

I'd holler at all of them on the street, especially girl #1. It ain't always about what you're wearing, sometimes it's about what you're not wearing, haha.

I like most of them except for number 5. She's too skinny and dorky looking for my taste; and number 10 needs to put a little more lotion on those legs, LOL.

HAHAHAH, this is why I never read fashion advice magazines/websites. I usually have difficulty telling if the clothing featured is supposed to be serious recommendations for how people should dress, or just for entertainment value.

I actually really like these looks. #14 (with the sweater) looks like me on a typical weekend except with brown hair instead of blonde. #9 looks like something I'd wear out to a bar. I also like short skirts and the fun prints. I also think the romper in #1 is to die for! I have a very short romper it is actually easier to wear than a skirt because it's actually shorts- even if you sit it doesn't show anything, trust me! I like to have fun with fashion and I get lots of compliments so I guess people do dress like this in DC!

The looks seemed fine to me. I can see the argument that some of the outfits are a little short but it's summertime and it's really hot this year. Raise those hemlines. I rarely wear pants this time of year unless I'm going to work. And when I do it's only light color khakis. The black suits are for job interviews only too hot for dark clothes.

Assuming you mean you are wearing shorts, and not nude?

LoL Yes I mean shorts. Hard for a man to be stylish wearing shorts but on my more fashionable days I will go for some loud plaid shorts. Unfortunately I am usually not nude. Although I'm not above some old fashioned skinny dipping.

That article looks exactly how DC girls dress: boring and hipsterish. I barely ever see hot girls in small shirts and booty shorts like the South DC is easily the least glamourous large metro area in America
