Thanks for the suggestions. I'm just not too keen on the taxes in DC and having to re-register my car and all that stuff since I'm already set up in VA. I hate city driving too even though I'd probably mostly walk. I guess I want to be as close to downtown as possible though. How is Rosslyn?

I dunno, maybe I would consider DC, but what are the options for a decent 2 bedroom in a place like adams morgan or dupont circle for $2k? I don't know if my roommate and I are gonna wanna spend too much more than that.

i think georgetown takes the prize for hottest women, but georgetown is pretty stuffy, lotta elitist old money types and georgetown frat boys. Yea, probably live by adams morgan but head down to georgetown for the milfs ever now and then.

I agree Ballston is okay but Alexandria is much better. You are close to Pentagon City, King Street, shopping centers and downtown DC. Claredon has a lot bars but I would not want to live there. I like Alexandria because it is centrally located.

As far as girls there are plenty of women all over the DC area that are nice looking.

Dead on the weekend.......and full of tourists in the summer time. Plus the a/c goes out in the metro station. Hate it....only good point is that it is near Georgetown and u go thru it to get to Claredon.

There is no nightlife in Ft Washington. It's a great upscale neighborhood but it lacks any kind of action so to speak.

As far as Virginia is concerned, I'd have to vote for Clarendon. There are a lot of good places to hang there. Clarendon Ballroom bings in some very attractive gals. Clarendon Grill used to be beauty central, but it has slid a ways. There plenty of restaurants and bars along both Clarendon Boulevard and Wilson Boulevard to satisfy your needs for "eye candy."

Is District Heights really bad as people say because I love d.c maryland. I know some say it's the ghetto, but they do have police potrolling often clearing the side walks. I've been up there over 5 times visiting. It reminds me of brooklyn, New York, where I was born. But yea, I'm considering that area. I been down south for 5 yrs to long. And do you think it's really hard to find a roommate in that area cause I really don't think it is? I've been recently look n on the net get n ideasof roomates prices up there BUT of course I will never consider meet n someone over the net and move n down there unless it was my blood family who stay down there. Thanks for your info.

Depending on where u live in District Hieghts it could be bad. If you are in a nw development you should be ok. The apts in district heights/forestville can get ind of crazy. Crazy but not Brooklyn Crazy.
