Are There Any Weekend Rentals In DC (Washington: sublets, apartments)

I live in Montgomery County but i visit and socialize in DC every weekend. I'm a native Washingtonian and would like to see if anyone has or have heard of "weekend" rental units such as a private apartment for those who would just like to "visit" and social on the weekend.

I have this great idea for me to be able to still visit my favorite town like i do now, but at the same time be able to stay Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, in some sort of apartment that is just like being at home away from home, like being at my own condo in Wheaton, MD.

i would appreciate any ideas, suggestions, referrals, etc. Oh, i would like to be located in the heart of town, i.e. northwest DC, specifically somewhere in the Adams Morgan, U street corridor from 18th to 12th streets, or Columbia road area, here the meridian hill park (16th and Euclid).

Hi,

Well, go to craigslist.org, Washington DC, and then click on the housing link for "sublets and temporary". I then searched for "weekend" and the list that followed had some promise (although not all fit, it you poke through it ...). It looks like a lot of people who are leaving town over Thanksgiving are renting out their apartments. Somewhere in there must be someone who would like to do it on a regular basis - maybe they visit a girlfriend/boyfriend outof town on weekends or something like that. good luck!
