Default Where do Late 20s hang out?

I've been in DC for only a short time now, but everytime I go out it seems that I am one of the oldest people in the bar. My questions is simply this: Is there anywhere in DC that isn't populated mainly by interns and college students? Where do people in the late 20s and nearly early 30s head to when they want to socialize with people their own age?

Out of curiosity, where have you been hanging out? I only ask because with the exception of Georgetown, it seems to me that most places DC, while they have a good number of college students and interns, aren't really overrun with them. There generally to me at least have seemed to be a good mixture of people from their early 20s to early 30s in Adams-Morgan, U Street/Shaw, Logan Circle, Capitol Hill, and Dupont Circle. Arlington seems to tread a bit younger and Bethesda more than a bit older.

Try Lounge 201 on Capitol Hill and Ozio in Dupont Circle. I like Busboys & Poets, too.

I would definitely be curious what bars you usually go to.

I would try St.Ex on 14th street, also there are some bars in Adams Morgan that attract and older crowd: Bourbon, Pharmacy bar, Toledo Lounge..try some of the more "upscale" places, and avoid Millie and Als, Adams Mill, Angry Inch, and those types. You could also try Wonderland in Columbia heights.

The NoVA places like Mr. Days, and other places there definitely trend younger.
