Default rush hour traffic on 270 against goign the other way

I am considering taking a job in Frederick, but would like to like somewhere between Frederick and Washington on 270. Now I've heard and read all the stories about how bad traffic on 270 is at rush hour.

My question is: How bad is the traffic if I am goign against the main rush. For instance, if i live in rockville, germantown, etc and commute to work in Frederick.

Let me know if this should be in the Maryland forum.

Thanks, Wes

The commute is better but will still take a good amount of time. I dont know about exact time amounts that well, but the traffic would not be as dense until you get into Frederick because of only two lanes on 270/rt. 15, but maybe from 45-60 minutes. Those times are nice considering a trip from Frederick to Rockville at rush hour is generally over 2 hours!
