I am trying to locate an Englishwoman that I met briefy at Union Station on Thursday, July 11 at lunchtime.
I had lunch with my brother in the food hall on the lower level of Union Station to celebrate his birthday. While awaiting him, I noticed that a woman having lunch nearby was having to stand, as the barstool chair from her table had been borrowed. I brought her a chair, saying it pained me to see her standing, and returned to my table. Several minutes into lunch, the woman stopped by our table to thank me and handed me a gift. She turned out to be English, originally from the south coast. I did not learn her name or contact information. After she left, I opened the bag – a green plastic House of Commons gift shop bag – to find a box of mint creams.
I feel remiss in not learning more about this woman, or how to contact her. She was wearing a floral skirt and a lime green jacket. The price tag on the box of mints was peeled off (in typical English good taste), but a pound sign remains -- meaning that the mints were likely purchased in England (or by mail from England).
Any assistance in locating the giver of the mints would be greatly appreciated.
