Overall I still like him. I always have a problem when an older, more experienced, seasoned adult (Shanahan) infers that there that a youngin has tainted the waters. Some owners are hands off and some are more involved. While it's very possible RG had some diva moments and spouted off some stuff all the negative stories including the should be fired from the Wash Post Sally Jenkins article have some Shanahan sour grapes stink attached to it.

He had a good 1st season.
Horrible 2nd season.
His upcoming 3rd season will determine his future in DC.

Danny boy will kick him to the curb really quick if he does not perform up to expectations.

Really? I doubt it. He'll be the franchise player for the next 125 years, long into Synder Boy the VI.

No.

Danny Boy will start to look in another direction if RG3 is not productive on the field anymore.

Actually, his second season wasn't horrible. It was just bad compared to his first. Eli Manning had a horrible season with 28 picks. See the difference.

If he's even a serviceable quarterback, think Tim Hasselbeck, he'll be the QB for a long time. Dan Snyder knows how to market. You gotta give him that.

He had a QB rating of 82.2. That puts him at 22nd place in terms of QBs. Not exactly "franchise" player numbers.

Eli Manning is considered a franchise QB had a 69.2 QB rating and threw 28 INTs. Flacco who just got PAID, had a 73.1 QB Rating have bad years. Next year will tell us if this is the norm for him or if the first year was closer to who he is.

RG3 was a very average QB this year, but considering that he came back from a major knee injury, there should be some perspective considered here.

Eli Manning has a Super Bowl ring to prove his creds. He also had a terrible running game and weak receivers this year. Stop with moronic comprisons.

RGIII wasn't worth the salary this year. The chances are good he won't be next year despite a top 5 running game to compliment his "passing".

And he had a pretty good O line in front of him.
