Do you want to personally see him walk down to the C Street DMV and be brought to justice before an adminstrative hearing officer? Do you want all of the evidence laid out for everyone to see that he was parked on the wrong side of the street on street cleaning days? I'm sure you will breathe a tremendous sigh of relief once these egregious acts are brought to light.

Again it just shows us something so small like paying your tickets can be so awful to us yet this typical politician like Marion Barry can be above the law in his own countryfide, cocky way. We all know politicians get away with bigger things but small things like this are things that effect us all but yet again not Mr Barry.

No, I would be happy if one of his crackhead girlfriends took a blade and did us all a favor.

it is obviously not a big deal to him, as long as the tickets get paid.

That Marion Barry is still around is yet another embarrassment to black people. Too bad they don't recognize it.

More likely a two-bit, flim-flam man capitalizing on a constituency of ignorant people with a lust for vendettas rather than constructive results.

Coleman Young was a similiar type of snake oil salesmen.

The same people who dislike Marion Barry, have no problem with the common crooks on Wall Street or who have run Chicago politics for 100 years, or the Dick Cheneys of the world. What a double standard - please. Barry was set up in a multi-million dollar federal sting operation that resulted in him being charged with taking a couple of hits off of a crack pipe - big deal! He got the maximum sentence of 6 months for a first offense and did his time. The truth is that he has also done a helluva lot for this city. That is why the people love him and will always vote for him. If you are looking to attack true bad guys, hang around Wall Street. You'll find plenty of them.

That's ridiculous, completely untrue and a cop out to dismiss any legitimate point made against him. I despise any type of politician that abuses his power, regardless of what party he is in. We can go down the list and talk about any politician that has done anything corrupt that still does not relate to this situation. It's either you are okay with it or you are not. The thing is though, if Marion Barry was another race or a different political party would you make the same point?
