Hello! We will be visiting DC at the end of November and would like a few restaurant recommendations. We have visited several times, but our kids were a bit younger and we kept things pretty "touristy". Our children are now 8 and 5 - very well behaved, but out of respect for other patrons we would like something family friendly. We are hoping for some recommendations for a restaurant that might be a little different , we have quite a bit of time so reservations, if needed, shouldn't be a problem. Any constructive ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

What part of town will you be staying in, do you know? Actually in the District or a close-in 'burb? NW, SW, NE, SE?

Just don't come to my food hole with your kids. I will automatically hate you for it.

We would like a place in the District, but aren't opposed to going a bit out of the way if there is a stellar recommendation.
