You're going to want to read about this. This is exactly what D.C. has been missing. It will have 3 million total square feet of residential housing and retail.
That is a really big redevelopment plan for an area that is transit isolated. I am not sure how well this project will really do. If Developers are taking major chances with this, it makes me wonder about major projects like Walter Reed Redev, Armed Forces Retirement Home Redev, or McMillian Park. All which are far better situated in terms of transit. Walter Reed and McMillian are pretty much done deals at this point. AFRH is still up in the air in the early stages.
I mean yeah gentrification...I guess. This just seems like an odd place.
I don't think I will be able to recognize DC in ten years.
