Default DC to VA commute time

I am considering taking a job in Mclean, VA and I am wondering about commute time from DC. I plan to live in NW Washington and commute by car. Is this a reverse commute from normal for the area or are both directions pretty bad in DC? Any help from people who currently make the commute would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I don't commute that route, but in general, that is a reverse commute, although not if you take the Beltway where there is no such thing as a reverse commute. While it depends where in Northwest you'd be living (it's a large area) and where you'd work in McLean, I would say a commute would run you anywhere from 25-40 minutes.
