Default Moving to DC from NC with family, need advice.

Hello, I am considering a move from Raleigh,NC to DC area. I have 2 children, 13 and 7. I have a degree in Political Science and currently work in the pharmaceutical field as a Clinical Data Manager. My kids and I love the DC area and is in need of a change. I am looking for a diverse, family friendly area with good schools. I prefer to live in Northern Va. Need advice on some places to look for employment other than monster, hot jobs, and Washington post, as those sites don't have many opportunities for Clinical Data managers in Nova and I need some advice on areas in Northern Va that would be great for my family. My budget is open right now as my husband works from home and we have good amount of money saved up. But if I had to put a price on renting, I would say about 2,200 a month. We currently own a home in NC and if we could get that sold would be open to buying property, especially being that homes have gone down!! Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check out MedStar Research Institute for jobs in data mgmt. It's in DC, though. I am not sure what would be the best options in VA - maybe working for Fairfax or another hospital?
