Hi there,

I am pretty new to DC,

As of now, I have been offered a job in 1827 Vermont Avenue, N.W, Can you please let me know, if the area around Vermont Avenue is conducive/safe to work?

It seems to be between U Street Metro and Shaw/Howard Metro. The area around U Street is pretty colorful and lively (Ben's Chili Bowl, Oohs and Aahs, many boutiques and nightclubs), but Shaw is still going through changes (gentrification) and I've heard about a lot of muggings at that Metro station (rowdy kids).

I don't have specifics on that address, but just like any city no matter where you are (the "good" parts or the "bad" parts) you have to have street smarts and caution.
