I don't think there's one area in DC where Indians congregate. There might be in Virginia or Maryland. It seems like there aren't many Indians who live in DC proper, but many who live in the suburbs. You'll have to ask the separate boards for those areas.

The Dulles Corridor (Ashburn, Herndon, Tysons) has the biggest indian communities in NOVA and I believe the entire area. I dont know of any indian enclaves in Maryland. Herndon is the biggest one and is a short drive to the Reston Metro station (and will have its own in 2019).

Why not just live in NoMa and walk to work? There are studios close to that price range available in the area as well as near H street.

As far as Moderator cut: Indian areas go.. DC does not really have a lot of segregated communities outside of the ghetto. Any non-ghetto neighborhood you live in will be integrated. Sorry.

Much of the Indian community is in dulles. There are also pockets in Montgomery County.
The good news is NoMA is by Union Station, so you can either take the VRE or MARC, or use the metro red line.
My advice is minimize metro transfers where ever you move. Move to some place where you will only use ONE line or form of transportation.

NoMa is not ghetto. I both live and work in NoMa. I like how people who don't even live in my neighborhood try to tell me what its like living here. Laughable.

NoMa, atleast the area within the direct vicinity of the metro station and the gov buildings, is surrounded all around by ghetto, and the ghetto crowd is always seen loitering around there.

Overpriced and ghetto it is, and will probably remain so for a bit longer.

I heard Silver Spring and Wheaton have a pretty sizeable Indian community - is that not true? Or maybe they moved further out to the suburbs. I've heard Clarksburg being dubbed as "Little Bombay" for whatever reason.
But if true, that may be a better fit for OP since they will be on the Red Line.

I can see it has been a long time since you have been to the area.
