DC is growing downtown and in the other direction from Baltimore. Baltimore's homicide rate might be impressive, but its growth rate is not. Bigger issue is how many Crystal City cube jockeys can fit onto I-95 as they leave Stafford County at 6am. They all know leaving five minutes later means 45 minutes less time in the office to forward e-mail joke threads and read washingtonpost.com.
