Do you think a trump presidency will hurt the dc economy seeing as he will probably cut federal spending, and nobody likes him. DC might be over building at the moment seeing how a federal contraction, a real possibility, could create abandonment issues.

No point in wasting mental energy on such a long-shot prospect at this stage.

Kinda of Ironic that he's about to open up a hotel halfway between the Capitol and White House.

Nope.

Donald Trump will lose. But even if he wins.. he is at heart a builder and developer. He lives in NYC and he built a large amount of NYC. In fact, he is a big reason for NYC gentrification in the 80's.

I'm sort of surprised more people haven't mentioned this yet.

Really, how utterly ridiculous would it look to the rest of the world if the president had his name emblazoned on a giant, glitzy hotel in between the two main centers of federal government?

What's interesting about that hotel is several weeks ago the signs in front of it said TRUMP in large letters. But when I walked by it this week the "TRUMP" is now in small letters and details about the hotel rooms are in large letters.

Interesting.

Hopefully it changes flags quickly. I kinda liked trump when he was just a developer and reality TV show star. Now that I know him better, I have lost all respect for him.

The smaller the better. I'd hate to ride down "America's Main Street" and see this idiot's name plastered on the side of the old post office building.
