Special events, like His Holiness coming to visit!!!!

Checking out cool places like the Newseum (opening again 4/11 downtown!) and the Spy Museum.

Screen on the Green

Jogging through Rock Creek Park

Stumbling on everything from Buddhist monks making a sand design while meditating to major music acts playing free shows.

The fact that even those major performing acts, who are perceived as gods elsewhere, are somehow overwhelmed by the power of the architecture or the city and come off as rather insignificant.

When the gardens are in bloom at the Franciscan Monastery in North Michigan Park / Brookland. Most beautiful building in the city, and the gardens are spectacular!
