You can't live in a studio here with three people. That is unheard of. Two, maybe. But not THREE. They will ask who'll be living there. They second you say three people you'll be denied--and you can't lie about it. Why do you only want a studio??

One BR with Balcony, utilities included $1575 https://dorchestertowers.net/

One BR utilities included $1495 https://dorchesterapartments.net/

One BR utilities included $1545 https://westmontgardens.net/

Two BR $1475 utilities included https://www.barcroftapartments.com/pricing

No clue on their pricing, but they are cheap: https://scottmanagementinc.com/fillmore/

Please don't try to rent a studio with THREE people. That is nuts.

You can definitely get a 1 bedroom in Southwest. There are 3 metro stops serving SW (Waterfront, Federal SW, L’Enfant).

It’s beautiful, safe. Absolutely don’t need a car. Its “affordable” too.

I agree that three people in a studio is against the law.

What about Reston on the Silver line? There are some moderately priced 1-bedrooms about half-mile from the station.

I'm surprised to see a posting like that, is it so hard for an American to get money to buy an apartment in Washington, DC?

I live in Belarus, the last dictatorship of Europe, where an experienced industrial engineer gets 200-500usd, military major (!) gets around 500 usd per month, (privates are forced to serve, the most popular soldier's bribe in army is piece of food), so in our capital city, Minsk, the apartments has a price similar to Washington DC! I've purchased an apartment that has a price of sq. meter (approx 10 sq.ft) 1460 USD for just concrete walls without internal electrical cords, internal walls, floors or even a toilet - nothing is included (Everything I have to make by myself). Just for a concrete in a house with windows in front of cemetery, where the closest subway station is 5 miles away.

As far as I know a salary of an ordinary seargant in the USA begins at 3K Usd/mo, so I wonder why do Americans rent a studio not buying one? Apartments are dirt cheap in comparison with American salaries (except for some districts like Manhattan, where sq. m. costs usd 20k, but in a few metro stations there is Bronx with Minsk prices on apartments).
