A lot of people don't own a car in DC. Traffic inside the beltway is pretty tame.

Just curious.......but aren't you in Richmond? It just seems that a lot of your complaints deal with traffic, which is understandable since you'd be driving 100 miles (give or take) each way. But, if someone's looking to live in (or very near) DC, they won't be dealing with that horrible 95 traffic at all. Driving up it always seems that the traffic isn't nearly as bad north of Springfield as it is to the south.

I've found most people who hate DC the most don't actually live in DC - they live out by the beltway and therefore live in their cars. There's no way wenzit actually lives in the District itself with those kind of complaints.

I figured, that's why I'm asking. If the question deals with living in or very near DC, then saying traffic sucks on 95 from Richmond to Springfield is irrelevant.
