Looking to buy two tickets for tonight's Red Lantern ballet at the Kennedy Center. I'm wondering if people who have season's tickets who cannot use them will be in front before the performance selling them (at a discount, I presume). I know that this happens in other locales.
I have never seen this..but then again, I always park in the garage and enter through the building. But my guess is that people who want to sell their tickets will try on the StubHub and such sites.
I was at Friday's performance, and yes, did hear some "tickets" calls as I was walking in. Never heard it before, though.
Season ticket holders can easily donate their tickets back for resale rather than claim them; I doubt many would be inclined to stand around and scalp them.
