With Avengers Endgame coming up I was thinking about bringing my full size Captain America shield to the Lincoln Memorial and do some awesome superhero poses for photos and videos. Do you think I will get cited by park police for bringing a shield?

Probably not. The Lincoln Memorial is one of the only memorials that nobody really cares what you do, it's open 24/7 I believe.

You'll be fine outside, but inside is a bit of a gray area:

Best chance of getting the place to yourself is early morning, and the sun will be in front of you rather than behind. Only worry would be wayward joggers, who tend to go around the place anyhow.

Underrated photo spot: the steps to the river behind the memorial, near the Memorial Bridge statues.
