I personally like it. It's still pretty rough around the edges and gritty in parts but it is on the upswing. It would've been a good place to invest in or buy property in as recently as 2-3 years ago but rents and home prices have climbed significantly since then in anticipation of the gentrification. It's not as flashy or lively as Adams-Morgan and more dangerous than Mount Pleasant, but as a whole, I think it's a nice enough community with good Metro access. People moving there should just be mindful though that it's a neighborhood in transition and not as sanitized as squeaky clean Georgetown or Dupont Circle.
