Default Move from MD side to DC side of the line-costs

If I move from MD to DC, how much will it cost me in terms of changing drivers licenses, tags etc. Am I basically stuck in MD unless I want to pay DC a fortune? I'm wondering about the wisdom if its only going to be for a couple of years.

The costs you mention are trivial. The real issue will be income taxes, which may be considerably higher in DC, and the generally lower quality of local government services.
Why do you want to move?

Claremarie is right. Those costs are minimal compared to others. You might want to check out this article to assess the bigger differences on taxes: Raw Fisherfrom Marc Fisher's Blog - Do the Math: District's Taxes Aren't the Worst - washingtonpost.com

That's really interesting. I would've expected the tax/fee differences to be much greater.
