Cool Commuting from DC to Quantico

Is it hard to commute from DC to Quantico, Virginia? I'm not sure what part of DC yet, but in general.

I'd really like to do this without driving a car, if possible. Thanks!

No way in hell you want to do that without a car.

If you live in the right neighborhood, you could make it a decent reverse commute. It'd be bad on certain days when things happen, but that's just life in this area.

How would you do a reverse without a car? I thought all the buses and trains were one-way inbound in the morning and one-way outbound at night. I think there is one (1) Amtrak southbound that takes VRE tickets, but that's about it.

I would ask how taking the Amtrak trains using a VRE pass would work. Here is the schedule: VRE Train Schedules

Certain VRE (and MARC) passes are cross-honored on certain Amtrak trains so you could take those, but the schedule looks really rough to rely on a train for your reverse commute.
