Default Renting in Maryland...

We are still evaluating whether we can move to DC. If my husband works in downtown DC, I Street, and wants to use public transportation, how would it be to live in Silver Spring, Rockville, or Frederick? It looks like we can rent something for about what our mortgage is now. Any opinions on these areas, info on schools?

Thanks!

Rockville and Silver Spring are definitely doable.

They both have metro stops that take you right downtown.

And they're both in Montgomery County, where schools are generally very good.

Frederick would be more difficult. It's pretty far, so he'd have to drive and then park I suppose at Shady Grove and then metro in.

Frederick too far. I'd stick to Silver Spring or Rockville.
