Default Female to male ratio
I'm curious. I read in a post that suggests there's an imbalanced ratio of F:M singles in DC? Is there really a higher ratio of female singles to males? two to one ratio?

Thirty seconds on city-data.com reveals that Washington has 53% female, 47% male; Arlington has 50% female, 50% male; and Alexandria has 52% female, 48% male. I'm sure the Maryland suburbs would like awfully similar.

Hardly the two to one ratio some suggest.

The singles map shows an imbalance with more single women than men. That said, the imbalance is not that large, maybe 20,000-40,000. Far from 2:1!
