I wouldn't say "all the beautiful black women," but there are a lot of beautiful black women there. But ATL is no slouch in that department either. Don't forget Houston.

That was uncalled for. The "AIDS" comment.

There are some parts of Southeast DC that pretty livable. So it's not all. The crime in DC is very overstated.

We recently moved from Atlanta to DC.
To me DC wins hands down over Atlanta.
(The traffic is also sooooo much better!!!)
The only negative thing is the price of houses!!!
The house we have right now is a VERY small and old house and value wise I could have a home at Sugarloaf!!!

There are Ethiopian and African women here too. Not as many as DC, but they are here.
Also, it's so interesting to see this thread revived. DC is still tugging at me in spite of some factors that give me pause. I know eventually, I may need to go there and "get it out my system" so to speak. I'm almost through with my MA program, and I will start sending my resumes out to see what happens. I enjoy working in Non-profit/Education PR and hope to stay in it. It seems like there would be more opportunities for me up that way than down here, especially considering Georgia's economy right now.
