Hot spots (clubs and lounges) in D.C.
Okay guys, I'm soooo ready to get out there and party next month and I'd like to know all the hot clubs and lounges in D.C. So far I've heard great stuff about club dreams and H20. Anywhere else?

I've been away from the club scene for a couple of years, but I regularly drive down K Street in NW (between 13th and 15th) on Fri and Sat nights and there are always several places with long-a-- lines. Lotus Lounge, K-Street Lounge, and Tatoo are a few of them.

I've always liked the bigger clubs in Dupont Circle and Downtown like Ultrabar, 1223, Five. But then again, it all depends what you're looking for: drinking, dancing, hooking up, just hanging with friends? You might want to check out some of the cool joints around the industrial hinterlands of Union Station like Club Ibiza and Fur, too.
I've actually never been to Dream, but I've heard it's pretty ghetto. And the fact that its located in the ghetto with no metro access doesn't help either.

Dream or Love is located in a desolate area of NE DC but it is probably one of the best clubs in the country for its ambiance and talent that it attracts. The clubs is four or five levels featuring some of the most upscale amenities outside of NYC.

Across the street from Lotus is Lima (14 & K), which is always poppin during the week.
