Default Pressurized (temporary) walls in DC?

Hello all,

I'm moving with my friend into a one bedroom, and we'd like to split the living room to create an additional bedroom. Pressurized (temporary) walls are a dime a dozen in New York, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding services in DC.

Any recommendations?

Thank you!

- T

Buy them in New York and bring them down here. See a show and have a meal while you are there. Or perhaps the company could ship them?

If not, you could build a wall out of 2x4s and sheetrock although anchoring it might make some holes. Put insulation between it for soundproofing.

....and hope your landlord and/or the city don't find out, because they have gotten pretty serious about enforcing fire codes in rentals.

Default pressurized wall

Did you all have the NY wall contractor come down yet? If not, I would be interested in getting one too, in the next two weeks.

If not, there is a company here in DC who apparently does them, Barreto and Sons contractors.
