Default Extended Stay in DC or nearby

I'm coming to Washington DC for a week towards the end of August or the beginning of September.

I would like to know if there are extended stay hotels like Value Place or In Town Suites in the DC area or nearby that I can rent a room (preferably with fridge and stove) for about 250 dollars a week. I am willing to go even 50 miles or so outside of DC if there are no such things available in DC.

Needless to say I would like it to be in a safe part of town and quiet. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Have you tried searching for "extended stay hotels near washington, dc" on google? I did a quick search and there were several in Alexandria and McLean, both are safe areas in VA, and aren't too far from DC. I didn't check prices though so I'm not sure if they're in your price range.

Have you tried looking into a sublet? You could try renting a room in a house for a few months.
