Default Where to live near Vienna? HELP!

New job in Vienna, VA (22182) and I'm looking for a place to move into.

The job is amazing pay at first so im looking for a affordable studio apartment thats safe. I was thinking $1100 should be my cap on a place and hopefully that includes utilities.

I was mostly looking for a place that has NO BUGS OR RATS and I wont get shot or robbed at night there. I'd prefer a tower that had a lobby with some kind of food place down there to grab snacks late at night, but its not required. Anyone live in that area and make any suggestions that I might able to afford that don't have like 15% ratings on apartmentratings.com?

I'll be coming up in a week or two to check out places so any suggestions i'll probably just stop by em and check em out. Thanks a bunch!

Sounds like you will be working in the Tysons Corner area. Tysons, while crowded and congested, is a very safe area and anywhere really that you find with a Vienna, VA address is quite safe. I'm afraid I do not know myself of any specific properties, but I would try apartments.com or a similar site and then simply visit the properties when you are here.

You might also want to consider posting an ad on Craigslist and seeing if someone who owns a condo in one of the big condo buildings around Tysons might want a tenant.

Best of luck to you in your new job.

Probably better to post in the Virginia/Northern Virginia forum. But you'd be at least near the bottom of the market at $1100 for pretty much anything roach-free around Tysons. Might look for rooms-to-let in private homes as one strategy...
