Hey everyone! I was seeing if if could get your advice on the hospitals in DC. I'm looking to move up there this summer, and am looking for a job in the area. I was seeing if any of you knew by heard of mouth or from personal experience which hospitals had good job satisfaction. I don't know where to start with applications except for Children's national. Specifically, i'm a pediatric nurse in her 20's.. Thanks for your help in advance! Also, if you have any tips on good neighberhoods to live in, that would be great!
I'm not a nurse so can't really help you regarding job satisfaction, but my son went to Children's and we were very pleased with everything...we went to the satellite office in Rockville, on Key West. There are locations all over the metro DC area.
There is another hospital in Rockville, Shady Grove Adventist, which advertises that they have the only local PICU...they are building a giant addition--it may even be done by now--and did a lot of changes, but don't know how people like it there. My MIL worked there as an RN 20 years ago so that sure won't help!
I have a couple of friends who are nurses at Georgetown University Hospital and they are very happy with their jobs.
