Question Has anyone heard of this company?

I am looking to move to DC and am looking for a job in events. Has anyone heard of a company called Metropolitan Events? They sound a little shady.

Any advice would be great! Thanks.

That's a loaded question really. Given the sheer number of companies that have offices or operations in DC, I personally think its a crap shoot finding someone on the forum that's heard of a particular company or not.

My first reaction to your question is.... How often do you encounter places of business that you came away feeling it was a shady operation? In my opinion...if it seemed shady then it probably is. Research it to death...especially if you're considering some type of employment there.

Good luck!

I checked out their webpage; they have no clients listed and their job descriptions are vague. Shady, indeed. GW has an events management program that may have some useful job leads:
