Default working in springfield.... where to live?

We will be moving to Springfield, VA from the midwest and I am wondering where would be the best place to live that would not be a difficult commute. We want to rent ,maybe for the first 12 month, a townhouse would be okay. I just want a family friendly neighbourhood. We do not want to go over 1800$ a month. Please help.

Might think about the Kingstowne area. It would be a short commute, it has a lot of families and related amenities, and it's an easy enough run into DC on the Metro. $1800/mo or thereabouts should be enough to cover something in that area...

Somewhat Tacky Kingstowne Homepage
