Default McGill Row Apts, 2nd and W St.
Does anyone know these apartments? They look really nice and the rent is reasonable. Is the area nice and somewhat convenient? I will be working in Greenbelt (driving there) and my husband at K St and 21st (metro or bus?). Is it a nice area for a young family (3 year old daughter and lab dog). Thanks for any info...
PS. What about Brookland Ridge Apts at 400 Taylor NE St? They also seem nice although probably a bit further out? Thanks again! Maru

I live here now and although the building is nice for the price, the crime and the management's response to it is "underwhelming". A group of tenants have discussed how lax they are and unattentive. I'm a New Yorker so I can adjust but I would not recommend this building to a woman and definitely not one with children. It's not the safest area. Additionally, there is no recreational outlet there.

Agreed. Do not move there with a child. Other parts of the neighborhood are safer, but there has been a lot of violent crime near that particular spot. There were shootings just a couple weeks ago, I believe.
