Does anybody know of any good yoga studios downtown-ish (or possibly Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Foggy Bottom, etc)? I hear that DC has great yoga. Thanks
Tranquil Space at 17th and R Streets NW, close to the YMCA and Dupont Circle. They're not that expensive, have great instructors and lots of class options. Check them out.
BTW, having asked a couple family members, they've also had really positive experiences with the Yoga studios on U Street. So if Tranquil Space isn't your thing, I'd look in that area. They're not that far away from the areas you wanted to be close to.
Do you have a particular preference about the style of yoga? For example, do you like a lot of energetic sun salutations or do you prefer a slower routine more oriented around strength building?
I can't recommend one in DC cause I've never been to any of those that have been mentioned...
However, even though this studio is not in DC I've been going there for the past 5 years. Willow Street Yoga is located in Takoma Park near the metro, and also in downtown Silver Spring MD.
Just had to put a word out... even if it's not in DC, it's a great place to go to.
