I think a kid got arrested last year because he had a bb gun in the hatchback of his car and someone saw it through the window and reported him.

Odd thing is that the DCMR you quote above appears to made on the basis of the law the previous poster cited ... so its not clear to me that the reg. would be valid to the extent that it applies to BB guns (which as the previous poster pointed out are not firearms or destructive devices under the law...) In any case I wonder if anyone can point me to the penalty for a breach of the sections quoted above.
