Segway Rentals in DC? (Washington: safe, metro, companies)

I've got some friends coming up to see the sites, and one of them is 6-months pregnant. She wants to see everything but is concerned about getting worn out. Anybody know if this is a possibility?

You know there is a great search engine called Google. You should try it sometime.

What I'm looking for is a daily rental, not a tour like you linked to. I found one, but I'm still looking for info on how one would use it in DC. Can it be taken on the metro? Are there places where things like this aren't allowed? Are they even safe for a woman who's pregnant?

Sure, I can spend some time Googling and find this info out - but there may be somebody here who already knows from experience. Then, the data is compiled into a thread that may pop up on Google the next time somebody has a similar question. All the info on Wikipedia exists elsewhere, too, but that doesn't mean it's a worthless resource. Forums exist for a reason. Your comment would apply to 90% of the questions asked here. Go sass them as well.

Don't be hating. You asked a very general question, and could easily contact any one of the companies listed on Google or other search engines to get your initial question answered as well as your follow up questions, instead you want other people to do your homework. Many of the questions on this forum are about what people think about a place or their experiences with a certain place or their opinion about a place, not the kind of question you asked.

You asked whether your friend could be worn out by a Segway ride. To answer realistically, yes. How is someone supposed to answer that question without knowing the physical condition of said friend? Come on, give it a rest. I was trying to point you to where you could get answers... from the source.. the rental companies.
