My daughter yesterday was awarded a Summer Internship in Arlington, VA. She is looking for a summer sublet and wants to live near Pulic Transportation in DC. Are there any suggestions other than University Housing that do not cost and arm and a leg?

I lived here when I first moved into the area. The location is safe (Capitol Police patrol the area) and is near the Union Station and Capitol South Metro Station. The rent included utilities, two meals per day and weekly cleaning of your room. It's a great way to meet other people to explore the City with. This place fills up fast, though!

Everything here costs an arm, a leg, and a kidney unfortunately.

I'd start with Craigslist and Sublet.com. Others might have some better suggestions, so keep checking back.
